Food!

I love having my own kitchen! I've started to get more into making food from scratch. Its so fun and tastes yummy too! Here are two of my favorite meals (and the ones I remembered to take a pic of before eating it!)

Pork Schnitzel, rahm sauce, and warm German potato salad

Sweet Hawaiian meatballs (with sticky rice)
I've also made hamburgers (with onion and bacon and seasonings in it), Apricot stuffed pork chops and Lemon glazed chicken. To top all of it off, I love making my own ice cream. And its usually chocolate :D Lots cheaper than store bought and tastes just as good! (I also make peach frozen yogurt for the girls)

Pirate Dinner

At the beginning of October, Mike's cousin Tara and her husband Rob, along with their two (just as cute as mine) girls, came for a quick, last minute trip to FL.  They wanted to visit with us and we wanted to see them too since the last time we saw them, their youngest, Jayla,  wasn't born yet.  We decided to go to the Pirates Dinner Adventure in Orlando. It was a really great show. Can't say the food was great, but over all, we liked it.

The pirate ship out front

Evey liked the little bridge so I got pictures of her with daddy and Ellie on it.

Hugging Juleanne, so happy to see each other!

Pirates gold! But don't touch!
They have cast members walking around with trays of food, "appetizers" as you wait to be seated for the dinner show. The souvenir shop, which was right there too, had some neat things that were of course way to expensive for me to even want to look at really. I did a quick walk through, nothing caught my eye thank goodness!
Jules got a light up "pirate" necklace
Evey loves necklaces and the look on her face when Jules had one and she didn't...mom caved.
Happy girl with her light up pretty, pretty.

intermission, both girls happy to move around

Ellie liked to lean over the back
The show is audience interactive. Really neat. You get to cheer on the color pirate of the section you sit in and do "competition" games with the other color pirates. We were in the blue section and got to cheer on the hot blue pirate. ;)
Jules got to on the "pirate ship"!! (she's the small one in green right in front of the blue pirate

still on the ship, the small on in the black hat and green coat

after the show. Evey was dancing to the music
After the show, they had all the color pirates out for picture and such. We had to get one with our blue pirate and the heroine of the show too!
Evey got all shy when it was her turn to go up to them. Stinker.
We sure do love when Tara, Rob and their girls come visit! We can't wait to go visit them! We are so lucky that they are family and are close enough to us now so we can visit each other!

Lets Walk

Ellie is taking her grand time walking on her own. But she's  the queen of walking around with her push walker! Here she is when she first starting walking around with it. I hope she starts walking soon! I guess its as soon as she realizes walking is faster than crawling. It took her a little bit to realize crawling was faster than rolling, so.... yeah.  :)

Hams!

My girls are such hams when it come to the camera and being in pictures. Especially Ellie. Oh my that girl LOVES it when I point the camera her direction!  Evey has her moments too, but has become more of a "i'll let you get a really cute picture of me when "I" feel like it" kind of girl. Stinker.

Huh? Whats that??

"you gonna take my picture momma?"

cheese!

"let me get it..."

"ok, i'll just sit and smile"

watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

Tampa fun

On Sept. 11th (I know I'm way behind on my blogs) we drove to Tampa to have a "grill-out" with Annie and Rob. It is so great to have them so close now! Evey adores Aunt Annie (she loves Rob too, but Annie is super special to her). Here is the fun we had while there.

Evey loves Brutus! She was a little cautious when he was out though.

Aunt Annie put on Little Mermaid
We made sweet Italian sausage, warm German potato salad, sauerkraut (cooked with apples), corn...we had lots of yummy food.

Ellie put an entire one of her "wheel" snacks in her mouth

After dinner it was time to go to the playground! Evey talked about the "slide" the whole way there. She LOVES slides!
Slide!

weeee!

She doesn't look so sure about it, but she was having fun!

Waving HI to momma

There she looks happier!
Evey only wanted Aunt Annie to come up to the top of the slides with her.
Daddy and uncle Rob were sitting on a bench and she would yell to Mike to get his attention. She wanted him to watch her! How cute?!
Ellie was such a good girl

Ellie's turn to slide!

fun!

Time to try the swings!

Evey sat with Annie

Ellie liked when I went fast

There was a swing just for her. Can you tell she likes it??

Cutie girl!

clapping

She was having so much fun!

Evey wanted to swing too

Daddy pushed her lots harder than I thought and she almost knocked me over! (but i got a cute pic!)

She had fun too!

Both my cutie girls swinging!

ahhh smart phones....

Aunt Annie helping to push. Evey liked to go HIGH!

Walking back to the house. Two of my three cuties!
It was lots of fun and a beautiful day! We look forward to go back and play again! We love you Annie, Rob and of course Brutus!!
