She's here!

Miss Elliana "Ellie" Rose Heilmann joined the our little family on Friday, October 15th, 2010.  She was so fast and easy, I hope that her future siblings follow suit! Here's her story:

My doctor had asked me at my appointment on that tuesday (the 12th) what my feelings were on induction.  I told him that at this point, I really wouldn't mind.  He told me that if I hadn't delivered by my due date (mon. 18th) then we would talk induction. So I go to pick up Evey from a friend who was watching her and while we were letting the girls play a little longer, my phone rings and its the doctors office.  My doctor was scheduled to be at the hospital on friday the 15th and he had an opening and wanted to know if I wanted to go ahead and be induced.  Being as I was already dialated to 4cm, he saw no reason that I couldn't be.  So I said yes.  It was so weird to know what day I was going to have a baby, but at the same time, I liked it.
I had to be at the hospital at 4am.  Crazy early! Talk about no sleep! Thankfully my sister Annie was able to come over late thursday evening to be there in the morning for Evey since Mike and I would be gone. It was such a blessing! We got there at 4. By 4:30 I was in the delivery room. At almost 5, they started the pitocin and a little after 5 I got my epidural. Oh how I love those! I hadn't started feeling the contractions yet, I was having them, but nothing painful, so getting the epidural was nice cause I didn't feel a thing the whole time! At 7:20ish my doctor arrived and broke my water. He had 2 c-sections scheduled, so he said I should have her soon so he could be there to catch. (He was joking about me hurrying to have her cause he knows its nothing I can control.) :)
At 8 all I could think about was how Evey and aunt Annie were doing, but wouldn't you know, no phone reception in the room. I could barely get texts out, but those seemed to work.  I talked to Annie for a while. At about 8:45 she asked me how far along I was.  I told her wasnt sure cause they hadn't checked me in a while. I guess they were expecting me to take longer to completely dilate cause just after that the nurse checked me and with a slight look of "Oh!" on her face, she said you are at 10cm! Time to push.  She asked them to get the doctor. At 8:50 I texted Annie to say it was time to push. By this point my doctor was in the room getting ready, which took him only a few minutes.  And by 9:02, Elliana Rose was here.  7 pounds 11.5 ounces 20 inches long. She was so fast and easy! I didn't tear very much this time, which made that recovery really nice too!
I went home at 8pm on saturday.  It was such a whirlwind weekend! The fastest hospital stay I've had! Compared to the 4 days I spent there after Evey.

Belly pic's

I didn't really take a lot of pictures while pregnant with Evey and it seems that the same is going for this one too! (We have a name but are not saying until there is a baby here to put it with. Sorry guys, you'll have to wait a few more weeks!)  But here are a few that I have for everyone to see. :)

Everybodies got a hiding place...to go, go, go

Evey loves to explore and find things. She especially loves to explore the kitchen.  Being the smart girl that she is, when ever I put away something in the lower cabinets, she immediately has to open that cabinet and look/take out something.  But one day during one of her exploring adventures, she discovered "her" cabinet. And its been her's ever since.

Cheesy grin!
She goes and sits in her cabinet and waits on me to bring her her milk (or juice). Sometimes she'll grab her juice and go there to sit and drink it.
She just loves that cabinet. Good thing I havent any plans for it yet. I don't think she would let me anyway, she knows its her's! I have more pictures of her in her hiding place but haven't loaded them in the computer yet. They will come later. She sure is my cute stuff and I love her soooo very much!

Just us and Disney World!

At the end of August we decided to take a trip to Disney World (being as it is soooo close now! LOVE IT!) before Mike's badge expired.  It was a fun trip all by ourselves, no friends or family there with us, it was great!
Since we are so close and we know that we will be going more often than before, we decided that we'd make it our goal to stay in every Disney Resort starting this year. We've stayed at Old Key West and Caribbean Beach this year already, so we chose to stay at Port Orleans Riverside this trip.
In our room, Evey almost right away found the bathroom and the soap!
Roaming around the room.
We ate dinner at the Port Orleans Riverside food court. Then came back to the room for bed.

Happy girl!
Saturday was our first entire day to play in the parks. It was so pretty out! Perfect Disney weather. We went to Magic Kingdom first because Evey was finally big enough to ride the kiddo rides! Not that I needed one, but I loved the excuse to ride them. :)

She loved Cinderella's Carousel. She sat there like a big girl as the horse moved up and down.
Waiting on Dumbo with Daddy.
On Dumbo. Simba had to come too.
After that, we had a cookie and milk break.
We ate at Kona Cafe for lunch and all Evey really wanted was the crayon.

We then park hopped over to EPCOT to explore.

Evey got antsy in her stroller so we let her walk around.
"This way daddy!"

My two cuties!
We wanted to look at the cars displayed at Test Track so we walked there.  Evey would stop and have this look of "what the...." on her face every time a car zoomed by. It was cute!
Don't you love the "whats that sound?!" look on her face! It was priceless!
Evey loved the big truck that was there (GMC Sierra crew cab, dark blue) cause it was like Grandpa Joel's. :)
On Sunday we decided to stay as long as we could before it was time to go home to get ready for work on Monday.  This was an Animal Kingdom day, and Evey had a blast! First we rode the train back to Conservation Station.

Looking at the turtle's.  They were swimming around in their tank.
Then Pocahontas came around the river bend! We had to say 'hi!' She told us to watch out for Rafiki (who was one tree over) cause he might try to hold Simba up to show him!
Evey got to pet a goat! She was so good and loved it.
We did lots more, but were having so much fun that I didn't take much more pictures in AK. As a final stop on our Disney Adventure, we ate at T-Rex for dinner. You can tell in these pictures how much fun Evey had at Disney...

She was OUT!
Not even the Meteor shower that happened every 15 min would wake her.
Daddy had fun holding the sleepy girl.
Evey did wake up towards the end and got to enjoy some VERY garlicky mashed potatoes. She is a Heilmann...loves her garlic!  We had a fun trip. And the best part....we got home in....45min! Right in time for Evey bed time. Gosh I love being close to Disney! :)

Whats in store...

Well, its blog break time again! (which really just means Evey is almost done with nap and its time to get off the computer and play!). So I figured I would let everyone know the titles of the blog posts I still have to post. :)  (they are not necessarily in the order they will be posted.)
And they are:

  • Everybody's gotta hiding place...to go, go, go!
  • The "Official" New House pics!!
  • Big Improvements
  • Just Us and Disney World!

Oh the fun!!

Evey is getting cuter everyday it seems! Here are a few pictures of her playing in the new house. I think she really likes having the space to play and explore. She has become the "princess".  :)

Here she figured out how to get into the tub.
Waiting on daddy to get home and watching the rain.
She really wanted to walk out in it, but didn't (cause mom wouldn't let her and there was lighting/thunder)
Mickey Ears! She is going to like dress-up when she gets a little older.
Pushing Simba, Pluto, and ball pluto one way....
Now pushing them the other direction.
Smile for momma!
She decided it would be more fun to actually get in the box rather than just put the cans I just took out back in! What a stinker! :D

Random pic's of her playing. Shes my cutie!

Cheesy grins

Here is Evey "smiling" for me when I ask. She is so cute! I've deemed this her "cheesy" grin. Enjoy!
